Vladimir Mau

Doctor of Economics, Professor, PhD, Rector of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.Since 1991 Vladimir Mau has been participating in the development and practical implementation of the Russian economic reforms’ course, including the work as the Council of the Chairman of the Russian Federation Government within the period of 1992-1993. 

Vladimir Mau is an author of 25 monographs, books, and teaching aids issued in Russia and the Great Britain, and of over 600 booklets and articles (in the Russian, English, French, German, and Italian languages). His main scientific results and studies are devoted to economic theory, history of economic thought in Russian and the USSR, the theory and history of economic policy, including the NEP period, evolution of the USSR economic system, experience in economic mechanism reform. He was one of the first to start studying Russian problems of constitutional economy and develop new lines in the study of transformational economic processes, that is the political economy of reforms.
